Measure Your Finger with Paper or String

    Prepare a Strip:

    Cut a thin strip of non-stretchable paper ribbon or string (approx. 10cm long).

    Wrap Around Finger:

    Wrap it comfortably around the base of the finger you plan to wear the ring on.

  3. 3
    Mark the Overlap:

    Use a fine pen to mark the exact spot where the paper meets itself snugly.

  4. 4
    Measure with a Ruler:

    Lay the strip flat against a metric ruler and measure the length in millimetres (mm).

  5. 5
    Match Circumference:

    Look up your measurement in the Finger Circumference column below.

EXAMPLE

A circumference of 54.3 mm corresponds to Aurivelle Size 14 (US 7).

METHOD 2 High Precision

Measure an Existing Ring's Inside Diameter

  1. 1
    Select a Ring:

    Pick a ring that already fits the intended finger seamlessly and comfortably.

  2. 2
    Place on a Flat Ruler:

    Lay a millimetre ruler on a flat surface and place the ring flat over it.

  3. 3
    Align the 0 mm Mark:

    Align the inside edge of the ring precisely with the 0 mm line of the ruler.

    Measure Inside Diameter:

    Measure across the widest central point to the opposite inside wall (exclude band metal thickness).

    Match Diameter:

    Look up your measurement in the Inside Diameter column below.

    Wrap a flexible measuring tape or strip of paper around your wrist just below the wrist bone.

    Mark where the end overlaps without pulling tightly.

    Measure in cm / mm:

    Read the exact measurement on a ruler.

    Add Your Fit Allowance:

    Add 1.0 cm to 1.5 cm for a classic everyday comfort fit.
